Originally from Toowoomba, Dr Keenan moved to the Gold Coast to complete his Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Griffith University. He then commenced medical school at Bond University which included time spent working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA.
In 2009, he completed his medical degree and moved to Brisbane where he spent his resident years at the Princess Alexandra Hospital gaining valuable experience in a variety of surgical specialities. 2012 saw Dr Keenan return to the Gold Coast to continue his surgical training where he worked in the General Surgery as well as the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery departments.
Having been exposed to all surgical disciplines, Dr Keenan found his passion lay in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr Keenan subsequently completed seven years of training in this field. This included completing his dental degree at the University of Queensland with First Class Honours and being awarded the George Christensen Memorial Prize for Highest Overall Mark in Oral Surgery. During this time he also completed his Masters in Trauma Science through the Queen Mary University of London where he published his thesis on the utilisation of 3D printing for the management of orbital fractures.
Following this, Dr Keenan was accepted onto the prestigious Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program. The Advanced Surgical Training Program saw him work at many hospitals in Queensland including the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Mater Public Hospital and Townsville Hospital. In 2021, Dr Keenan was awarded his Specialty Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery FRACDS(OMS). Dr Keenan is an internationally published author in the fields of facial trauma, oral pathology and the use of new technologies in facial surgery. He currently practices both privately and publicly and holds appointments at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Ipswich Hospital where he works to train the new generation of surgeons.

Dr Burgess is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with a special interest in Temporomandibular Joint surgery and Orthognathic surgery. He currently has appointments at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Queensland Children’s Hospital as well as a private practice in Brisbane.
Originally from Maitland, NSW, Michael finished school at St Joseph’s College in Sydney before completing Dentistry at Sydney University. After working with his father in Newcastle as a dentist for 2 years Michael went back to medical school at Newcastle University.
After completing his formal medical training in Newcastle Michael started Oral and Maxillofacial surgical training, working in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane.
After training, Michael completed a specialist fellowship in Melbourne with Dr George Dimitroulis, a world leader in his field of Temporomandibular Joint surgery. As part of this training Michael also trained with Orthognathic surgeons Dr Patricia Bordbar, Dr Joseph Gunn and Dr Ricky Kumar gaining significant experience in Orthognathic Surgery, particularly asymmetric facial deformities using Virtual Surgical Planning.

Associate Professor Lynham completed his surgical training in Maxillofacial surgery here in Queensland. A Fellowship visit to Switzerland enabled him to gain further experience in this fascinating surgical field.
Associate Professor Lynhams’ practice includes dento-alveolar surgery, dental implants, wisdom teeth and oro-facial pathology. Associate Professor Lynham holds academic posts as an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland School of Medicine.
He has published widely and speaks locally at many surgical conferences.

Dr Mansour arrived in Australia with his family in 1999 with ENT specialist qualifications and then decided to specialise in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery because of the great passion he had for surgery on facial trauma.
Dr Mansour commenced his dental degree as a mandatory requirement for training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2000 at Sydney University. He graduated with an Honours Degree in 2004 and was awarded the prize for competency in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine. He commenced his maxillofacial specialist training in 2005 in Victoria for one year then joined the Queensland training program for another three years. He completed his Specialist training in January 2009 and was admitted to the Fellowship of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr Mansour has been working in private practice and worked at the University of Queensland since the completion of his training. He practices all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery including impacted teeth, facial trauma, facial deformity, and oral pathology with a special interest in full mouth rehabilitation with dental implants. He currently holds an adjunct associate professor position in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Dental School, University of Queensland, teaching the future dentists and maxillofacial registrars in training to be specialists.
Dr Mansour lectures extensively at the dental school and other educational venues in the fields of general medicine, general surgery, oral surgery, bone grafting and head and neck anatomy. He supervised a number of courses including orthognathic surgery and head and neck dissection courses. Dr Mansour also teaches extensively hands-on courses in dental implants for general dentists.

Dr Terence Alexander qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1987 and received the PROSSA prize for clinical fixed prosthodontics and the Lester Brown award in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery. After serving 2 years in the military as a Lieutenant, he was selected and completed a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in South Africa in 1995. In 1997 he graduated with a Master’s degree in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of the Witwatersrand. He was awarded the Medal of the South African Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for the most outstanding candidate in the final fellowship examination. His training and experience in South Africa has offered him extensive exposure to the treatment of severe maxillofacial injuries, gunshot injuries to the facial region, advanced oral pathology, reconstructive surgery, oral surgery, dental implantology and orthognathic surgery.
Dr Alexander entered private practice in 1995, with a special interest in orthognathic surgery. He also joined the staff in the division of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery in 1995 as a part time consultant in Orthognathic surgery, becoming head of the Orthognathic Surgery unit at the Johannesburg Hospital in 2000 until his immigration to Australia, with his wife and three sons, in 2008. During this period, he kept his academic ties as an examiner for the College of Medicine of South Africa, was part of the postgraduate selection committee and lectured to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
His training has been strongly influenced by his peers and attendance at local and international meetings, particularly in the field of orthognathic surgery. He enjoys interacting and sharing his passion for life changing orthognathic surgery with undergraduate and postgraduate colleagues alike. He has presented lectures to students at the University of Queensland and at Griffith University, on orthognathic surgery, preprosthetic surgery, salivary gland conditions, oral surgery and dental implantology.
After obtaining registration as an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon in Australia, Terence has worked in private practice in Brisbane since 2010. He also has an appointment as a senior lecturer and course coordinator in the Discipline of Oral Surgery, School of Dentistry, at the University of Queensland, where he continues to encourage and tutor young students starting their professional careers.
