Dr Zad completed his medical training at the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Iran 2002. He continued his basic Physician training in New South Wales and completed his Gastroenterology advanced traineeship in Queensland and New South Wales.
He was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2018 and is accredited with the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) for gastroscopy and colonoscopy. He is currently appointed as a consultant Gastroenterologist at Caboolture Hospital and STAR Herston.
Dr Zad consults on a broad range of gastroenterological conditions including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Motility disorder, Liver Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Coeliac Disease and Bowel Cancer Screening.

Ali is passionate about research and his research has been published in various scientific journals. He is also active in teaching medical students and junior trainees. Individualised care and furthering tertiary level care is Dr Zad’s priority in practicing medicine. He is fluent in Persian and English.
